Kikoti Tented Camp is located adjacent to Tarangire national park in northern Tanzania.
One of the most remote of the camps outside the eastern gate of the reserve, this place really does feel out of the way. It also takes some getting to, being around two hours from both the main road and the core gameviewing areas. The camp itself is very nicely presented, with comfortable public areas and ten large and comfortable tented rooms.
During the dry season there is not usually a great deal of game in the area, but nature walks and night drives can both be pleasant low-key diversions. The camp is operated in partnership with the local community, who in return set aside land for wildlife.
Kikoti Tented Camp really is a very pleasant little place, which feels considerably removed from the main safari circuit ... for better or for worse.
