We boarded the Flam Railway, an engineering marvel that climbs the mountains, zigzagging through 20 tunnels, with spectacular panoramic views of the valley below. At the top, we transferred to the Oslo Bergen Railway for a ride across the Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau en route to the restort town of Voss. After a hearty Norwegian smorgasbord lunch, we continued on to Stalheim. We had time to shop and then continued our drive down the steep valley to Gudvangen to rejoin our ship.
