Tula is located 84 km from Mexico City, in the state of Hidalgo Mexico. The city of Tula was founded sometime around 1000- A. D. and was the probable capital of the Toltec Civilization. Near Tula town, there is an interesting Archaeological Site.

The City was the largest in Central Mexico in the 9th and 10th centuries, covering an area of some 12km. While it might have been the largest city in Mesoamerica at the same time, some Mayan sites in the Yucatan Peninsula may have rivaled its population during this period.

The site is famous for the four stone warriors called “Los Atlantes”. El Palacio Quemado (the burned palace), which has several columns and where one can admire the Chac-mool, a statue characteristic to his period. Distinctive Toltec features here include terraced pyramids, colonnaded buildings, and relief sculptures.

A Museum is located beside the Archaeological Zone. In this Museum one can learn interesting aspects of the Toltec Culture. Service also offers professional guide for the tour of the ruins as well as brochures, magazines, and books. The Museum is undoubtedly the best guide for a tour of the Archaeological zone in Tula. This is without a doubt an important place in the history of Mexico and their ancestors
